Lynn Drobbin & Associates (LDA) performed the historic resource analysis for the New York Susquehanna & Western Railroad Passenger Service Restoration Study Environmental Assessment. The project area, the existing right-of-way for the NYS&W, included Bergen, Morris, Passaic and Sussex Counties and extended from Hawthorne to Sparta. The project included nine new station sites and a yard site as well as five sidings. The study included an initial station and yard site screening and the preparation of an environmental assessment. The historic resource analysis included the identification of historic resources at the proposed stations and new siding sites and the preparation of a technical memorandum which evaluated the potential eligibility for listing of historic resources on the National Register and an evaluation of the effects of the proposed project. |
