Project Description:

Lynn Drobbin & Associates provided historic preservation expertise for the rehabilitation of the East 180th Street Station and the former New York, Westchester & Boston Railroad (NYW&B) Administration Building to ensure that all work was in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

The Rehabilitation of the East 180th Street Station concerned the provision of ADA compliant access to the NYW&B Administration Building and the adjacent subway station to include the construction of two new elevators, an ADA compliant ramp, the rehabilitation of the NYW&B Administration Building exterior and lobby, and the rehabilitation of the historic entrance plaza, including landscaping.  The project involved coordination with New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and the SHPO.
